QUID 101

One identity for every place you go. Sign in with your face. See everything that touches you. Share only what you choose.

1. What a QUID is

   Your QUID is your key to the LiQUID Universe and the businesses that use it. It's free, for life, and it has no password: you sign in with a passkey that lives on your own phone or computer, unlocked with Face ID, Touch ID or your device PIN.

   • One person, one QUID. Your number is yours and is never given to anyone else, even if you stop using it.
   • Private by design. Each business you visit sees a different private reference, never your QUID number, so one business can't recognise you at another.

2. Your number

   The last digit checks the other fifteen. Mistype one and the number simply isn't valid — it can never quietly point at somebody else.

3. No password

   Three reasons, in order.

   1. Nothing to steal

      Your passkey never leaves this device. There is no password sitting in a database anywhere for someone to take.

   2. Nothing to phish

      A passkey only works on the site it was made for. A convincing copy of this page cannot use it.

   3. Nothing to remember

      Add a second device and you can always get back in. Lose one and the other still works.

4. Two devices

   1. Sign in and open gotquid.com/me.
   2. Under What your QUID holds, choose Add a passkey.
   3. If you signed in a while ago, you'll be asked to confirm it's you first. Then choose the new device or security key.

   Each passkey is listed there. Keep at least two at all times.

5. What a place sees, and what it never does

   You carry your preferences. Each place you choose gets better at looking after you — and learns nothing else.

   A hotel sees

   That you like a quiet floor, a cooler room and oat milk in your coffee.

   The name you'd like to be called.

   It never sees

   Where else you've stayed, what you've bought, or anything you haven't chosen to share.

   Anything from any other place.

   Allergies, accessibility needs and dietary rules are yours to share yourself, one place at a time. They're never guessed, and never passed along.

   Lilli’s people see the patterns. You keep your preferences.

6. Yours to keep

   • Personal info (your pronouns, if you add them) is optional, shown only to you, and can be downloaded or deleted on gotquid.com/me.
   • Leave me alone: tell us you're not interested and nobody contacts you. Where the law gives you the right to be deleted, we delete.
   • Opt out of activity records on any of our sites, or send Global Privacy Control from your browser.
